This web site has been designed to provide a comprehensive resource for people living, working and visiting Saddleworth.

We love living and working here, so together with the help of some great local organisations we’ve pooled our resources to give something back to the community through this web site.

Our directory has hundreds of listings to help you find contact details and more information about Saddleworth businesses, groups and organisations.

With the the kind support of Peter Fox’s “Old Saddleworth” collection and Saddleworth Museum, we’ve been able to share thousands of local historical photographs of Saddleworth with you, some over a hundred years old. You can buy prints and even download digital copies of these images directly from the galleries.

A proportion of the proceeds of those image sales is given back to Saddleworth Museum.

These wonderful archives are sure to keep you browsing the history of our area for hours, and we’ve even added the ability for you to comment and share your thoughts and local knowledge about these images. We’ve also added some more recent photographs of Saddleworth and will be growing these galleries all the time. You can even submit your own images of Saddleworth for a chance to appear in our galleries.
